The sun finally sets on the $8000 Solar Rebate (SHCP)

Are you SHCP rebate approved or know someone who is? If so then this could be your chance to claim the rebate before it expires soon.

What's Happened?

For those who are new to solar, the SHCP (Solar Homes and Communities Plan) Rebate was pulled unexpectedly on June 9th 2009 and replaced by the new Solar Credits scheme.

With over 30,000 homeowners yet to install a system and claim their rebate, the installation deadline looms ominously on the horizon.

The industry has witnessed many fly-by-night companies folding during the past year, leaving thousands of homeowners in the dark. Solar Power installations have reached all time records, forcing the Australian solar industry to quickly reach its capacity. This bottleneck has created a huge backlog of installations, forcing homeowners into hysteria trying to find a reputable nationwide installer to help save their rebate *wink wink*.

Meeting this demand has been our driving force over the past year and the reason behind our rapid expansion and employment of so many new team members. It's easy to change solar power providers, even if contracts have been signed. With our extra capacity we have saved hundreds of rebates for customers who were unwilling to risk installation with their original provider. We can now offer you an exciting opportunity with an Express Installation Guarantee...

The Opportunity

We have always welcomed our competitor’s customers with open arms and those who have been government pre-approved are certainly no different. You only have 9 months from your pre-approval date to organise installation which means that it could be any day now that your rebate expires worthless. Suffice to say that we recognise that time is of the absolute essence now that installation deadlines draw near. The Government is firmly denying any extensions to your specific deadline so if you have any concerns with your current provider, now is the time to act.

If you’re sitting on fence, there’s no reason not to go solar with YES Solar! We can offer you a complete entry level (*1kW) system fully installed from as little as $999 or an affordable upgrade to a much larger system for very little out of pocket! That’s a compelling reason to give us a call as soon as possible or send an enquiry today to explore your options.

Contact us right now and enquire about your free upgrade to our YES Solar Express Installation. Go on, give us a call and we’ll guarantee to help you meet the deadline*.

What should I do now?

  1. Take a close look at your Pre-Approval letter and take note of your installation expiry date and you AGO number. If it hasn't expired yet then take a deep sigh of relief, there's still hope!
  2. Contact one of our Solar Representatives and let them know that you require an Express Installation Guarantee by your expiry date.
  3. We will provide you all of your options from our tailored offers for SHCP rebate recipients. Once you choose your ideal package, we will help you through all the paperwork and organise your priority install.
  4. After installation is complete we will help you prepare the Installation Report for the Government.
  5. Sit back and relax in your newly solar powered home, knowing that you didn't miss out on the $8000 rebate that you deserved.

I haven't been Pre-Approved, can I get a Government Incentive?

If you missed out on the old rebate then please refer to the full details of the current Solar Credits scheme that you will be eligible for. It may not be as good as the old rebate but who knows how generous the next rebate will be? On the plus side it isn't means-tested and is open to businesses and community groups as well. Given that the Government has pulled the plug on so many Solar focussed incentives in recent years it would be wise to get in while you still can.

*Conditions Apply: Offer only available to pre-approved rebate applicants; $999 out of pocket expense is for a 1kW system after government rebate used with YES Solar; Offer expires 31st May 2010 and includes installation on single storey homes. Extra charges may apply for flat roof and multi storey homes. Customer to arrange metering installation and payment directly with their energy retailer.
